The Losers Club book review

 The Lemonade war, by Jacqueline Davies

The lemonade war is about two siblings, Jessie and Evan Treski who get mad at each other because Jessie skipped a grade and Jessie and Evan will be in the same grade which Evan does not want. Five days before school, the Treski family gets a letter saying Jessie and Evan will be in the same class next year. Evan does not want that so  he says he hates Jessie and has a lemonade stand with this kid who Evan thinks is a jerk.. Jessie wants to challenge Evan so she starts a commotion, who can earn the most money in five day by just selling lemonade. The goal was $100 and the winner kept it all. 

I really enjoyed this book because it teaches you about money and I really like lemonade. The other good thing that I like about this book is that the characters are about the same age as me and I can relate to them a lot easier. The last thing that I like about this book is that I am very similar to Jessie, but not in the sense of being the youngest.

I think that the lesson in this book is if you do something mean to someone they will probably do something to get back at you if the figure out who did it.

I would recommend this book to fourth graders, kids who like reading about business and money, and kids who think on a hot day like the day I am writing this on a cold glass of lemonade sounds very refreshing and good.
