The Crossover by Kwame Alexander



In this book Josh and Jordan Bell are in middle school and they both play basketball together. Josh and Jordan are twins and Jordan has a girlfriend that Josh does not  like because he feels she is taking his brother and he does not want his brother to change too much. I should also say that their dad is a famous basketball player that played in Europe. At the end of this book there is a tragedy that is very sad for the boys and their mom.


In my opinion I really liked this book because I like basketball and I really like how it was written in a poetry like form where  the words flow and the words do not go to the end of the page. I think the lesson in this book is even if you are growing up you will never leave your sibling.


I would recommend this book to people who like basketball and poetry. I hope you read this!

  This is not a book in the Penderwick series. My mom and I are in number 4 still. The Losers Club by Andrew Clements Main characters:  Alec, Nina, Kent Setting: Bald Ridge Elementary Summary: When Alec has to go to extended day program after school all he wants to do is read but unfortunately there is no option for that. YET. Alec wants to start his own club where he can just read but he needs to find someone else who wants to start the club. He names his club the losers club because he just wants his club to only be him and someone else. By the end of the book it is the biggest club in the  extended day program and even bigger than the active games area. At the end he has to think of some way to present to all the families at his school for back to school night. The way he presents , I think is really cool.
