The Penderwicks at Last

In the last book in the Penderwick series the whole family returns to Arundel for Rosalind and Tommy’s wedding. Lydia is the main character in this book. She and Batty ( who is now 19) go to Arundel two weeks before the wedding and Lydia meets her new best friend Alice. Alice is Cagney's daughter. Together, Lydia and Alice have a bunch of adventures involving dancing, sheep, and aliens during the time leading up to the wedding.

All of the Penderwick books have a different sister narrating the book. In my opinion, I think that this was the best book in the series because I like Lydia. I like Lydia the most because she is closest in age to me and I think it would be fun to do some of the things she does. It is also very interesting that they go back to Arundel which is where the first book took place and have to talk with mean Mrs. Tiffton.

I think that the lesson in this book is that you should not be afraid to make new friends.

I would recommend this book to people who like books about girls around 11 years old and that are fiction but are very relatable to real life.

Hooray for the Penderwicks!!!!!
