    Harper, that was so much fun! GrandBob and I had quite a laugh taking your quiz. We both were Fun Seekers ( which is good since we do things together all the time! ). We love to have fun in nature, especially when we can have that fun with those we care about so much (like you and your family!). Looking forward to more adventures this year.

    Hi Harper--that *was* really fun! I had 5 Bs and 2 As, so I guess I am mostly a type B, leaning slightly toward A. Is this what you expected?  :)

  This is not a book in the Penderwick series. My mom and I are in number 4 still. The Losers Club by Andrew Clements Main characters:  Alec, Nina, Kent Setting: Bald Ridge Elementary Summary: When Alec has to go to extended day program after school all he wants to do is read but unfortunately there is no option for that. YET. Alec wants to start his own club where he can just read but he needs to find someone else who wants to start the club. He names his club the losers club because he just wants his club to only be him and someone else. By the end of the book it is the biggest club in the  extended day program and even bigger than the active games area. At the end he has to think of some way to present to all the families at his school for back to school night. The way he presents , I think is really cool. This is a great book and Andrew Clements is my all time favorite author so in those regards I would recommend any of his books. Happy reading! I may or may not do a...

  Book review #2 Hotel for dogs By Lois Duncan Title: Hotel for dogs Author: Lois Duncan Main characters: Andi, Bruce, Tim Kelly, Jerry Gordon Setting: Andi and Bruce’s aunt’s house, house across the street Summary: When Andi and Bruce and their family have to move in with their aunt,  Andi finds a dog that just had puppies. The dog came into the house to have its puppies but the aunt is allergic to fur so Andi and Bruce have to move the dog and her puppies. They look in the house across the street which has been deserted and start housing the dog and her puppies there. Then, more and more dogs find their way to the house so Andi and Bruce decide to start a dog hotel. I like this book because you never know what is going to happen next.  Hope you enjoy the book!

Scat by Carl Hiaasen

        This is yet another book by Carl Hiaasen  who has wrote Chomp and Hoot. In this book there is a biology class that goes on a field trip in to the everglades but someone starts a very contained fire to scare the classes away because they are doing illegal oil drilling. One of the teachers has to go back into the swamp because someone dropped their medicine. The teacher later calls into the school and says she will be gone for a family emergency. Nick and Marta want to find out why their teacher is gone and what she is going.           I liked this book  because for one I love the books by Carl Hiaasen, two it goes back and forth of who is telling it, three, because it talks about endangered animals. There are a lot of lessons in the book because there are so many people telling it. In my opinion I think the main lesson is to care about nature and the things you have.          I would re...
