Summary: India Opal went to the grocery store to pick up some food for her dad. She found this dog inside the grocery store. The dog was eating all the food and he smiled at her and she took him home to her dad and then her dad let her keep him.  This book is about all the tales this girl has because of the dog. Additionally, India Opal moved into a new town so this book also shared about all the friends she met because of Winn-Dixie. I think that's how it got its title but that question is still puzzling me.


I would recommend this book first grade through fifth grade. I would say this is a really good book to read with someone and it is a really kind book that shares no matter how young you are and how old you are you can always make friends with people and in the end even if you don't like someone you'll probably end up liking them.

    We read this book together when Gavin and Norah's whole school read it as their spring book last year. It was pretty cute!

  This is not a book in the Penderwick series. My mom and I are in number 4 still. The Losers Club by Andrew Clements Main characters:  Alec, Nina, Kent Setting: Bald Ridge Elementary Summary: When Alec has to go to extended day program after school all he wants to do is read but unfortunately there is no option for that. YET. Alec wants to start his own club where he can just read but he needs to find someone else who wants to start the club. He names his club the losers club because he just wants his club to only be him and someone else. By the end of the book it is the biggest club in the  extended day program and even bigger than the active games area. At the end he has to think of some way to present to all the families at his school for back to school night. The way he presents , I think is really cool.
