For my first book review I will do Ramona The Pest




Story title: Ramona the Pest

Author: Beverly Cleary


Ramona the pest is a fictional book. 


Main character: Ramona Quimby

Setting: Ramona’s house and her school


Summary

Ramona is very excited to finally get to go to kindergarten! When Ramona gets to school she is a little impatient because she really wants to learn to read and write.

The problem: one girl  in Ramona’s class has curly hair and she cannot resist pulling her hair so she can not go to school until she can behave herself.


If you have read any other Ramona books you will know that sometimes she gets mixed up and will know that all of Beverly Cleary’s books will have a lot of humor and will chuckle to yourself a lot. 


I recommend this book for kids that are in grades 2-5.  If you are in the lower grades this is a good book to read with someone together.

  This is not a book in the Penderwick series. My mom and I are in number 4 still. The Losers Club by Andrew Clements Main characters:  Alec, Nina, Kent Setting: Bald Ridge Elementary Summary: When Alec has to go to extended day program after school all he wants to do is read but unfortunately there is no option for that. YET. Alec wants to start his own club where he can just read but he needs to find someone else who wants to start the club. He names his club the losers club because he just wants his club to only be him and someone else. By the end of the book it is the biggest club in the  extended day program and even bigger than the active games area. At the end he has to think of some way to present to all the families at his school for back to school night. The way he presents , I think is really cool.
