The Penderwicks

Image
Starting with this review I will do the first three Penderwick books. There are 5. Title: The Penderwicks Author: Jeanne Birdsall Characters: Rosalind, Skye, Jane, Batty, Mr. Penderwick, Jeffrey Setting: Arundel Summary: The four Penderwick sisters take a trip with their dad to a place called Arundel, an estate with beautiful gardens and a cozy guest house. Along the way they meet a very nice boy named Jeffrey and have a lot of adventures, like playing soccer in the fancy gardens and Batty encountering a bull. Also their dog Hound tags along and causes some trouble. If you have read any other Penderwick books or already have read this one I would like to know how you like it.  The Penderwicks is now my second favorite series of books after The School Story by Andrew Clemets. I like this book because it is so life-like and it is fun getting to know the characters. This book is a little longer and harder  than some of the other ones I reviewed so I like reading it at bedt...

Harper Richards Nov ember 13th 2020 For my first book review I will do Ramona The Pest Story title: Ramona the Pest Author: Beverly Cleary Ramona the pest is a fictional book.  Main character: Ramona Quimby Setting: Ramona’s house and her school Summary Ramona is very excited to finally get to go to kindergarten! When Ramona gets to school she is a little impatient because she really wants to learn to read and write. The problem: one girl  in Ramona’s class has curly hair and she cannot resist pulling her hair so she can not go to school until she can behave herself. If you have read any other Ramona books you will know that sometimes she gets mixed up and will know that all of Beverly Cleary’s books will have a lot of humor and will chuckle to yourself a lot.  I recommend this book for kids that are in grades 2-5.  If you are in the lower grades this is a good book to read with someone together. If you have already read this book  I would like for you to...

Hello!

My name is Harper and I really like reading so I decided that I would make a blog where I write reviews for books I read and then post them for everyone to see. I will do a new book review every Friday. I am in the fourth grade at Bauder elementary so most of the books I do reviews for will be at a middle school level or lower. I am a high reader for my grade so that is why they may be too hard for some but I will try for all ages.
